im very new to this an i want to know if a 2 ohm amp can push 4 ohm subs ?

subs are rated 800 rms and the amp is rated 125 rms at 2 channels

Perfectly safe to do so, generally speaking.

That being said, please list exact model numbers of both woofer(s) and amp(s), so we can make sure you won't break anything. You did say you were new to this, that's the only reason I am asking...

the subs are lanzar vw12d vibe series 1600 watt 800rms

the amp is a pioneer gm-5400t 760watt

I'm glad I asked. Those woofers are dual voice coil @ 4 ohms each. You will wire the woofers in a series-parallel for 4 ohms, then bridge the amplifier.

Use the bottom diagram from this page...

This will get maximum power from your amplifier, amd maximum safe load.

thankyou very much i had know idea, and you say bridge the amp ....is there a diagram for bridging that amp available ?

It'll MOST likely be labelled right over the amplifier terminals.

Per the manual, which I found online here... Page 5. Look at the amplifier's outermost speaker terminals. The one screw terminal closest to the power connections is the negative, and the one furthest from the power connections is the positive.
