Ok I attempted to install a dual cd player in my friends 2003 cavalier I have the gm 2000 interface wiring harness. Matched up all wiring by the colors only wiring left was blue amp wire and an orange wire in the harness the chimes work but cd player will not turn on. Anyone know what might be the problem ?

Check to make sure you have ground on the black wire at the radio, constant 12vdc on the yellow wire at the radio, and switched power at the red wire at the radio. Measure the voltage AT the radio to make sure the radio is getting the voltage.

Don't know that particular harness of the top of my head. But not all the harnesses for those vehicles have an accessory wire. May need to run your own, either to the ignition or fuse box. You checked all your fuses? Checked voltage on the red and yellow wires?

I just tying the cd players ground wire to the cars same on becaUse the stock one is working fine when I hooked it back up maybe it's the harnessed I dont know
