I have a F-150 and I was wondering which would be better enclosed or ported. I was also wondering if porting an enclosed would be a waste of time. Have limited amount of space but need the bass!

What I am wondering:
What kind of cab?
What kind of subs?
How many subs?
What kind of amp?
What kind of budget?
Installer's qualification?

Never mind!

The enclosure took the entire extra cab space but now I got some real bass in my truck. Ported 10's is going to sound the best inside the vehicle... I got two twelves sealed now, which is only slightly louder(comparably) than my single 12 ported. Both boxes custom. It took 4 different custom enclosures to get where I am now. ANY enclosure that is prefabricated in high quantity for a specific vehicle will never compare to the sound I have worked for, no matter what sub is used. Make sense?

sound quality  ----sealed

sound pressure level ----- ported.

once you know which you want go from there. pic a sub that works best in that type of enclosure, and then pic an amp that will poer the sub.
