ok, well i bought 2 kicker cvrs dual 4 ohm model. My amp is a 1ohm stable Memphis 500RMS amp. i have the subs wired to a 1ohm load. The box i got is 1.8 CuFt per sub and the port is tuned to 37Hz. My old kickers in the kicker box that they came with was WAYYY louder n bassier then these where.. why is that? also i have the gain half way and if i turn my radio up i can almost smell them every time? The bass is -7(goes to -8) and my sub volume is also -7. My head unit is a kenwood kdc. If i turn the bass up even a little it sounds like crap but is sounds good where its at juss not as much bass?

Lets start with the size of the subs. I will also assume that your 1.8cu.ft is gross volume per. Also what is the port area and the actual length?

Well i can tell you right now the enclosure should be larger. They need a minimum of 1.75 per NET. After figuring your port volume im sure you are under that. They also like a large enclosure. So going more in the middle of the recommended to the largest will not only increase DB's but it will sound better as well.

You still didn't answer my port area question. What is the width and height of your port?
