Low ohm light comes on and amp get hot fast.

The speaker load is too low. Which speakers are you using? model #s will be nice, also please read the forum rules next time before posting.

Turn the amp on, but keep the volume at zero for 5 minutes, does the amp still heat up?  If  it is still heating up without playing, it has a problem.  But as stated earlier, I too suspect that it is wired into too low of a load.
