Just wondering if there are any modules of any sort that will allow the driver to use the OEM steering wheel controls with this deck? Vehicle is a 2003 Murano.

Thanks in advance!

Check out the New Metra ASWC interface!!! There is a fit guide on metra's site which will also list compatibility!

Hmmm that product looks good, but Ive never installed anything like this. Im more of a car security installer, and the installation instructions arent that clear to me...

Here's the installation manual of the Metra ASWC:

https://documents.victorytechnologies.com/documents/vehicle/10978.pdf

Here's the installation manual of the Kenwood KVT 696:

https://www.kenwoodusa.com/UserFiles/File/UnitedStates/Consumer/Manuals/kvt696_Install.pdf

According to the ASWC, steps 3 and 4, Im supposed to connect the wires from the ASWC to the OEM radio harness correct?

Also Im not quite sure what they're talking about in this:

"Aftermarket Radio Connection If you are using an Eclipse or Kenwood radio, plug the female 3.5mm connector with the Brown and BROWN / White wires into the male 3.5mm connector of the ASWC harness."

the install of the radio is going to be the tough part, ive done a couple of these and the fabrication and wiring to keep the A/C system working is not fun, because of the design of he dash, the radio ,cd player, A/C controls are all on on one circuit board. you have to relocate that circuit board( i relocated it under the passenger dash) and then remove every button for the A/C controls from the board fabricate , then fabricate a peice to hold them in the factory location then wire them back to the board.  after that, i did a quick glassing to fill the stock bezel to fit a pop out DVD/NAV then wrapped it in matching vinyl , the first one i did took about 4 days to complete, but worked out very well. i would make sure that your ready for all the work that will go into the job, if you are comfortable doing all this, then the steering controls will be a peice of cake. good luck.

if you have any questions hit me up all do my best to help you out.
