I have 2005 gmc sierra 2500hd and I look to change factory radio with xm to a pioneer avh-p4200dvd. Can the factory xm antenna be hook up to the new radio. I would like a plug and play installion

 best thing to do is just get the digital tuner Model: GEX-P920XM

you'll need an xm tuner for a pioneer (like the one dasbogie mentioned), but you can reuse the factory xm antenna. i did the same thing on my '06 Sierra. below is a link to someone doing something similar with pics:
