Has anyone installed a Motorola T605 blue tooth unit in a 2005 Mercury Mountaineer? I can't seem to find any wiring diagrams for the 05. The head unit is a stock 6 disk with no navigation or DVD. It has a CD/AUX button on the top left and mute button on the top right. Any wiring diagrams or help would be much appreciated.

This information is provided only as a reference.
All circuits should be verified with a digital multi-meter prior to making any connections.
I need some advice with the installation of a Motorola T605 Bluetooth Kit in my 2005 Mercury Mountaineer. The head unit is a Audiophile 6 disk in dash radio w/o DVD. The radio head unit part number is 4L2T-18C815-CE. The radio has a CD/AUX button on the top left and a PHONE/MUTE button on the top right. My questions are:
Does anyone have experience / direction on this install?
Where is the MUTE wire on the head unit?
Where are the telephone line-in wires on the head unit?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
Disconnect Negative(-) terminal of your battery.
remove radio
mount microphone above rearview mirror
mount speaker under drivers side of dash facing downwards
mount control pad securely in and easy to see and reach spot on your dash or console
route all these wires to behind the radio location
Connect black to ground
Connect red to 12v constant
Connect green to ACC or IGN
Yellow is a (-) mute output that is optional. Your radio does not have a wire to simply tap into that mutes your radio. However, you can use the yellow mute to turn the radio of while you are in a call HF by interupting theb12 volt ACC wire going to the radio with a relay.
relay wiring is as follows:
85- yellow mute input
cut ACC wire in half to radio(YELLOW/BLACK wire)
87a - ACC wire to radio
30 & 86 ACC wire to car
connect all plugs to HF electronic control module, mount securely in area behind radio making sure not to obstruct area that radio will occupy. Use zip ties or Velcro.
Reconnect battery.
Start car. Turn Bluetooth kit on. Pair your phone. make test calls to ensure proper operation.
Carefully reinstall radio, reset your stations, etc
I hope this helps, let us know
