I will start of with that I did use the search tool, but couldn't find exactly what I was looking for so here goes.

2005 Ford Expedition with the 6 disc in dash(has aux & sat buttons), rear seat controls, but NO overhead dvd. Is it possible to wire into the rear of the radio to use a aux audio input, perhaps what the factory dvd player would have used? I know that PIE makes adapter for ipods and such, but I really just need the left and right audio in. Thanks in advance, Scott

You need the PIE FRD03-AUX/S its about $50

this unit tricks the radio into thinking there is factory SAT installed and allow the low level inputs to play thru factory radio. A pinout can be found in a program called ALLDATA, they charge you.

Do not waste your money on the diagram.  Without the PIE piece or another suitable interface, there is nothing to communicate with the deck.  When he says it tricks the deck into thinking it has a sat radio connected, without the sat radio or the adaptor to talk to the deck, it will not switch to the input.

Alright looks like the only way is with an interface device to communicate with the CANBUS to enable the aux or sat toggle in the deck. I went ahead and hooked up my line level inputs on the what would be the dvd audio in but the deck would still show no aux audio on the display. Oh well .5 hour down. Thanks again
