whats going on everybody, in just a few days i will be starting on a serious SPL vehicle build. the truck is a 06 ford F-250 with a linex'd interior. i will be installing 4 MT 18's on 4 soundstream XXX4000D's( one per sub). right now im waiting to order some dynamat so i can do the whole truck.
i was wondering if anyone had any experience with these subs or any suggestions on how to build the wall to get the most out of these subs.
i spoke with some people at RE and they say im on the right track but it never hurts to get everyone's opinion.

is this an extended crew cab? or is this a blow through bed setup?

The amps kick ***, but i don't have any experience with those woofers.

it is the extended cab but not the full crew cab the box im making so far will have about 20ft^3 internal without port or woofer displacement. the 4 18's will leave me about 13 inches for the with of the port and about 35 for the port height the depth is still being figured out. i want to tune high for true spl but im really tempted to build a pull out port so i can have another port on the side that is tuned low for ground pounding.

From what I've heard, they like a 40Hz tuning.

no, just one enclosure, but two different interchangeable ports. one tuned to about 70hz and the other tuned to about 40hz. charging system is still in the works but i know i will be using at least 8 kinetic 2400's and more than likely a dual 250A alternator setup and 5 battery isolators.
