Hey guys,
It's been years since I have done anything audio related, so I forgot quite a bit.
Currently I have a TC Sounds TC-3000 15" sub being powered by a single Alpine PDX 1.1000 . If I can recall it's a dual 2 ohm sub, currently wired to 4 ohms.
With that 1000rms at 4ohm's im barely pushing that sub to it's potential. I would like to get 2000 watts rms to it. So my question is: Can I wire up 2 PXD 1.1000's to the single sub without issues?
The two wiring options that come to mind are to add the 2 amps in parallel, or to wire each amp to each voice coil.
Naturally I would try my best to match the gains with an oscilloscope.
Any issues with this?

Nope. Go for it. I didn't have an O-scope when I did it to my friends set up so I had to use DMM method. Over a year now and he's had 0 issues with it.

More important that matching gain is to ensure the two amps are getting the exact same signal and are in phase to avoid cancellations.

Thanks guy's.
Well, I bought a new vehicle and went all out on the stereo the first time around, so I haven't had to touch a stereo for 3 years. Now I want more again haha.
