My amp (JBL CS60.4) provides 60 watts per channel at 4 ohms and 140 watts per channel at 2 ohms. In my current setup I've bridged rear left and rear right and connected my sub (rated 500W at 4Ohm)to them. Obviously this isn't getting me anywhere near the full potential of neither the sub or the amp, so I was wondering if it's safe to connect both rear and front channels in paraller to my subwoofer?

Fair enough, thanks for the quick reply :D

I was planning to do this first thing in the morning, good thing I asked first.
