I have a Pioneer head unit Premier 390MP and I just found the remote control I had the unit since 07-08 and I put a new battery in it and it doesnt work... Whats wrong and what should I do..??

Make sure you used the proper < size=1 face=AdvTTf2850dd1.B>< size=1 face=AdvTTf2850dd1.B>CR2025 battery and that it is installed properly, and make sure there is no dierct sunlight hitting the head unit.  Other than that, it could be broken.

Point the remote into a cell phone camera or a digital camera, press a button on the remote, do you see the infrared LED illuminate?   Also check to make sure the battery contact points are not bent out and not making contact with the battery.

Do you see the LED illuminate in the camera. You can only see it on the display on the camera or the phone.

I guess it was left in the heat too long cause once it cooled down here in the house I went out to the car and it turned up the volume... Then when I hit next track button a few times it started working, the pause button is kinda off and on.... But it all is starting to work again....
