Is Spl in any relation to the size of the car? For example.... if you had the exact same system in a Volkswagen beetle, and a Chevrolet Suburban, wouldnt the SPL be higher in the beetle at the same volume?

The acoustics of the vehicle make a huge difference in both SQ and SPL. If you have two different cars the with the same cabin volume but different style interiors the SPL will be totally different readings. But to answer your yes in a stock set up you would get a higher reading in betel than a Suburban. But then you could build that suburban to hit a higher SPL than the Betel. But beetles have excellent acoustics. I have put very small systems in beetles that hit extremely loud and clear they are a great car for a SPL or SQ set up.

Here's a link to an older thread that discussed acoustics and SPL as well.
