2007 jeep commander radio info

i think the factory radio is shot, the cd player reads cd err, does any one know the size of radio/ its gonna be an after market.

Your radio is probably a Din+1/2 size radio.  There are very few aftermarket radios that are that size.  However there is a piece available known as a dash kit.  It is the same exact size as your OEM radio with a DIN size opening in it to accommodate any standard DIN size aftermarket radio.  This kit will sell for afound 20 dollars.  Metra part # 99-6507 and 99-6510 are both listed for your vehicle.  While at the stereo shop picking that up, also purchase the wiring harness to make for an easy connection to your vehicle.
