I recently purchased two 12" dvc 4ohm Hifonics BRZ12D4's rated at 600w RMS and the Hifonics HFi1000D monoblock amp which is rated at 1000w RMS @ 1ohm/475w @ 4ohm. The two subs add up to 1200w RMS, would it be safe to wire them up for 1ohm? I'm trying to avoid any possible risks before I put it all together. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I forgot to post this before but I'm also looking for any tips on tweaking this amp. Does the boost knob act as the gain??

Its fiine to run at 1ohm and you'll get the most from your amp, start with 3/4 gain on the amp, set bass boost at full gain and set your LPF at around 75hz, if you have a subsonic filter start at 30hz, this will get you started with only minor adjustments after, the bass boost isnt the gain but usually depending on the amp it focuses maximum bass at a preset frequency or variable frequency if the option is on the amplifier.
