i have 2 orion hc 12s (dual 4 ohm) in the prefab enclosure they came in (bought brand new) and was wondering if building a new custom enclosure would produce louder better bass.

it could? all depends if you want the box to have "gain" box size port length/size "tunning" all play a big role. on how loud you can get a sub,
