Hello everyone! Planning to run a old school PPI Art Series A1200.2 with my 3 Fosgate HX2 Dual 4 ohm Subs. I can either run a final 2.67 ohm or 6 ohm load. Can I run 2.67 ohm on a PPI A1200.2? What would the amp put out @ 6 ohms? it's rated 300x2 @4ohms / 600x2 @ 2 ohms/1200x1 @ 4ohms.

Those numbers translate to 600x1 into an 8 ohm load.  So theoretically speaking it will do 900 x 1 into a 6 ohm load.

This is my situation, running 3 fogsate HX-3 DVC 4 ohm. i can either run 2.67 or 6 ohm final load ... is there any other way to run the subs for another final ohm load? ... running @ 2.67 seems to be killing my hifonics amps within 1-2 months, my fosgate bd1000 within a 1yr and letting my fosgate 225.2 last 6 months so far (knock on wood) on & off in between frying my hifonics amps. i just need any insights on which way to wire up my subs and which amps would run it reliably. I can't find a good reliable hi current amp ... so i would thinking of running a final load of 6 ohms to the PPI Art Series A1200.2. What do you think of that?

If you are using the PPI or any other 4 ohm x 1 amp, 6 ohms is your only safe option.
