can anyone tell me the formula to figure out how much power my amp is producing at .5 ohms? i have a memphis pr1X1000 (320W@4ohms x1, 580W@2ohms x1, and 1000W@1ohm x1)

Well, it's eventually going to produce only smoke.
It's not rated for that load, and you are literally (LI-TER-AL-LY) playing with fire. That's the truth.
However, looking at the not quite doubling of power per impedance halving, I'd going to guess somewhere in the 1.5kW range. Since it's not specified, the ONLY way is to open the amp and measure the PS rails while it's running WFO. Then use Ohm's law to figure it.

i guess i was under the assumption that anything that was 1 ohm stable was also stable below 1 ohm. so theres no truth to that?
