I have 2 amps(340watt and 250watt) and I have 2 Rockford Fosgate 12"subs,
I would like to bridge both amps together, to run both subs. How do I do that, on the amps it shows (L+ & L-) and (R+ & R-).
Do I use jump wires to and from each, and then out to the subs, which have 2 seperate conections(Pos and Neg)
HOW DO I DO THIS?
OR WOULD IT BE BETTER TO RUN EACH AMP SEP TO EACH SUB?
LOST WITHOUT A CLUE, PLEASE HELP!

You should not even try that with the 2 amps you have. There are some amps out there that are Strappable, but you have to have 2 of the same exact amplifiers, and more importantly they need to be strappable. Chances are your amps are not strappable. Even if they were strappable, they are not the same exact amplifiers.

Run each amp to each sub........(have each amp run one sub?)

one more question what is (L+ & L-) (R+ & R-) does that mean to use both the +'s to one sub? (Like L- and R- to the sub)

L + identifies the left positive terminal. L- identifies the left negative terminal of the amp.
To bridge the amps, you would use the Left positive and the Right negative terminals. Your amps will run at no less than 4 ohms when bridged. What is the impedance of each of your speakers? Single or Dual voice coil?

Oh and by the way, the reason I need all this help is, My son turns 16 this friday and i promised him a system.....
I am using Rockford Fosgate subs-Punch "RFZ1412"-4Ohms, dont have a clue about single or dbl voice coils.
I bouhgt the subs in a box, which will take up his whole trunk. It is is a large box, which has 1" wood, and has 2 seperate sections, I was told by a friend to cut a hole in between the sections to let some more air to bounce arnd to get be a louder boom, is that correct?
I was going to take the box apart to make it smaller to fit in his trunk better, but dont want to ruin the snd.........

No. A hole between the two halves of the enclosure will do no such thing. It will allow the woofers to share a common airspace though... Now, will that be of any benefit? No, but if you blow one of the woofers, it'll suddenly be a passive radiator, and the first woofer will now be in a SEVERLY mistuned alignment. THAT'S good stereo! LOL
Excuse the sarcasm. No, leave the enclosure as it is.
As far as ruining the sound of those woofers, it will never happen... Those woofers are as far from "sound quality" as any I think I've ever heard. *NO* sarcasm, there. Make the box whatever size you need to fit conveniently into the space avaialable, but I wouldn't go less than about .75 to 1.0 cubes (that's "cubic feet") each woofer.

well, everyone seems to think they know everything about everything, lol
app all your help. I downloaded the books that wldve came with the amps if i were to buy them new, so I learned alot after i read them.
well after i hook everything up and see my boy rolling away thumping, I will let you know.\
