im desiging a box for my kicker l7 15", it requires between 3 and 6 ft cu. with a port to get the most out of it. I am attempting to tune to 32 hz. the dimensions are the external dimensions that i can use with about  1-2 inches of extra on each side if needed. i beleive i did the math right. Can you critique my design and give any insight on how i can reach my goal? thanks. posted_image

What is your goal so we can help you reach it? Where are you planning on getting a 8.5" port at? Are you going to use one of the sonotubes or something?

and you need to leave more space between the end of you port and the wall of the box. if you use an 8.5 inch port you need at least that much between the end of the port and anything else. you will only have 6.5 inches

Im trying to get the best SPL and SQL for the space, and preferably tuned to 32-38hz, and I was going to hit home depot and see what i can find to build the port, i doubt i will find something already made that big. lol. but im not stuck on using a round port, it was just suggested to me. what are your recommendations?

ok. what about using a slot port? would that be more logical to meet the goal?
