i got a 2007 Nissan Altima with the Bose navigation and i want to hook up an amp for a couple subwoofers. where can i find a wiring diagram for this and what else will i need to hook the amp up? thanks

well it is just like any other amp install for power, signal is the only hard part in this car. you will need a line level converter. you will need to tap 2 high level signal sources. you can find that at each speaker. in this car with the bose system you should have an amp at every speaker. you will have to tap the wires on the output side of the amp. you will also want to tap one pair on the left side of the vehicle and one pair on the right. It is kinda a pain to do with the bose system, but not too bad.

if you have a factory subwoofer in the rear deck then you will need to hook the converter up to it, not to the normal speakers. if you dont have a factory sub then use the wires for the rear speakers. the factory amplifier most likely will not be at each speaker, they used to do that on older cars with bose systems before 2000 or so but i haven't seen it this way on any newer cars. it will probably be somewhere in the trunk or maybe even in the center console, but as long as you can get to the factory sub or the rear speakers directly there is no need to hunt down the factory amp just to add a sub.

The rear deck speakers arr 6x9s and are used for the bass, would I splice into those and add a LOC to each of the speakers or to one?

SoundnSecurity. Thank you for correcting me on that. It has been a few years since i quit installing professionally, so i have not see many of the factory amp set up on most new cars. 6x9's are often used for "bass" but in reality should not be in most cases. If you have some very high end 6x9's they can be crossed over a bit lower to get better mids and even mid bass. Most average, or even above average, 6x9's should be crossed over simularly to an equal 6.5. But i guess that does not answer your question... YES. your "line out converter" should have 4 inputs. left +pos and -neg, and right +pos and -neg. so you should splice off of the lines for both rear speakers.
