My son's Bose unit has the dreaded "CD err" when a cd is inserted. I tried to re-solder the resistors on the power board that seems to fix the earlier 95-96 units to no avail. Does anyone know if the Bose speakers are amplified in a 2007 GMC Yukon like the Maxima? I have a brand new unit from the GMC that would work until he can scrape together enough money to buy another head unit. Thanks in advance.

Also, does anyone know the latest unit out of any Nissan product that will fit the 1998 Maxima mounting and wiring?

you wont be able to turn on the factory unit from the yukon, it turns on with data not a 12v trigger like the maxima. and yes, the speakers in the yukon with bose are amplified.
