2000 Chevy Suburban / Single CD OEM Head Unit / OEM Slave Cassette
I want to use the PAC Auxilliary Input adaptor to install a SkyFi XM radio. The PAC unit reqiures a cassette to be running in the deck while listening to the SkyFi so that the head unit knows an auxilliary signal is present.
Is there a way to splice in a switch to fool the head unit into thinking the cassette deck has a tape in it?
Thanks!

This one is a lil more expensive but does not require a slave unit to be present, so it should work for you.
Thanks for the response...I had looked at the PIE adaptor before. The problem I saw with that is that in the installation instructions it says my 2000 Headunit will require my slave cassette to be disconnected...somthing about 2000 and earlier head units not being able to control 2 units.
Logic would dictate that if I only had a signal comming from one either the SkyFi via the PIE input, or the Cassette....it should work...but that's logic
what about this one? It is designed to work WITH slave units:
"Hit the AUX button on the radio switches to your slave unit. Flip the toggle switch to one side and play your MP3. Flip it to the other side and watch your favorite DVD. Resetting the toggle switch to the middle position returns you to the slave unit."
That particular adapter is made by PAC.
