If I remember correctly, IASCA has a rule on how far the main system fuse can be from the battery. Anyone know what that cable measurement is? Also, since I am a big on using fuses, Anyone know why the main battery cable is not fused from factory (the one that runs to your starter)? Maybe some of the new cars today are but I know that the older cars weren't.

18" from the fuse to the terminal. You also have to document this with a picture in your write up of the installation.
