infinity kappa perfect or type r componen

I was looking to get some of your opions real quick.  I am trying to decide which components to get.  I am looking to install these into a 2004 Ford F-150 Lightning.  I am looking to install either Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.5 components or Alpine Type R 6.5 components.  I do have a pair of the Infinity Kappa Perfects in my 2004 F-250 super duty and I love them but I was wondering what you guys think of the Alpine Type R's.  I can get a killer deal on the Type R's from a friend of mine that needs some cash real bad.  I have not heard these before so I was looking to see what you guys think.

sound quality is a matter of perspective. i know a bunch of people who swear up an down that infinity makes the best speakers ever, and they do sound good, but to me they are way too bright. they sound great on rap music but i cant stand them for any kind of hard rock or metal that's heavy on the high hat and cymbals. long story short, it all depends on what you like to hear and the type of music you typically listen to. nobody but you can tell you what sounds good to you.

physically i think the kappas are a better speaker, spec wise, but i have a feeling the type R's would sound better to my ears.

and personally, i'd help my friend out, but thats just who i am. if i decided i didn't like the speakers, i'd just sell them to someone else.

Hey soundnsecurity thanks for the input.  I actually ment to put that in my posting.  I know sound is subjective to each person.  I realize that, I guess I was just wondering what components people perfer (or should I say which ones typical are bought more).  I was also looking at alpines web site and I am very interested in the Alpine type X as well.  How do you think the type x compare to the kappa perfect.  I know it is subjective but have you or anyone installed or heard the type x.

I have the Type R's in my Build there Awesome. Currently I have the coaxial s but I am swapping them out for the component set. There being powered by a monster Boston Accoustics GT4100. I have the 6x9's in back for rear fill and bass until I get my 3 10" Alpine Type R subs.

i had some nice type r components , but got bored with them and actually swapped them for some infinity coaxial's (2ohm). I couldn't believe the difference. i was amazed. i still get crap all the time for swapping components for coaxials . just my opinion.
