I have a general newb question about my sub connection.

I have a Power Acoustik CPTI-3200D that is rated at

  • 4 ohms: 1000 watts x 1 chan
  • 2 ohms: 1400 watts x 1 chan
  • 1 ohm: 1800 watts x 1 chan .
  • I currently only have 1 BOSS AUDIO NX129DC 12" sub hooked up to this. The sub has 2  Four Ohm voice coils and is wired at 8 ohms right now.

My question is, if I got another sub, they could be wired to 1 ohms correct? Does this mean that my amp would send 1800 watts to EACH sub?

yes you are correct, but i doubt that your power acoustic will give you a full 1800W. maybe 1200-1400. and this will be SHARED by each sub on that same amp. so you would divide whatever output you get by half and that is what each sub will get.
