(2) dvc 2ohm subs wired together in parallel. this option makes them a 0.5ohm load.

What would be the disadvantages at having a system setup like this??

just wire all the coils then all the subs in parallel and you will have a .5 ohm load

I'm wondering how many amps are stable to .5 ohms! Are there any?

Four, 4-ohm DVC woofers is only 1-ohm. Wired in parallel, that's all you got.

Yes (or no), it's a half ohm.  2, 2, 2, 2 using the parallel calculator.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

I'm impressed. Amps sure have come a long way! Used to be hard just to find an amp stable to 2 ohms, then 1 ohm. Now they do .5 ohm? Amazing! Believe me, I'll be shopping for amps again soon!

Orion made amps in their hay~day that would go down to a 1/4 ohm, but that was then. the great days of car audio.

crescendo amps will go down to 1/2 ohm and still be warrantied 3 yr transferable warranty, all their products have great warranties.

i don't think audio que warranty's their amps down to a half ohm load anymore.
