They still make car audio? If it is the same brand that used to be PPI back in the late 90s they were on the higher end from the shops I visited time to time. The one thing I really hated about them was the power terminal inputs though, they had a funny terminal block that plugged into the amp...

All the bass heads with money in high school had PPI amps haha. I don't know much about their subs and speakers though, only knew a few people that had their amps. And among them they always played their music loud and hard.

Years ago they made quality equipment.  The last units I saw were still of decent quality.  That has been a few years ago.  I have no idea about current products, nor do I know if they are still in business.  I think they were initially based in Tempe Arizona, the city that brought us Rockford Fosgate and Orion.

Ahhhh.... The Precision Power "Art" series...

Those were the days. Long gone are the true HIGH-END production values of Precision Power.

As mentioned, still decent, mainstream quality. I think there's likely better out there for similar money, however.

Can probably chalk Phoenix Gold up with PPI on that account. Not what it used to be back 10 or so years ago, but same name turning out decent equipment. Decent being the key word here.

back when they were their own company they were very well built, they even made amps for mtx, sansui and others. then they sold to dei in late 90's or early 00's dei sold them and other names so they can just concentrate on orion.. now the same company that owns soundstream, power acoustik and kole audio owns ppi also,

you make the call,

Thanks for the tips guys, yes it's the same PPi name, but if it's anything like kole audio, power acoustik or soundstream then i won't expect much. LOL.

Makes me so glad I held onto my 2 PPI A404.2' Art Series amps. Once PPI sold their products went from higher end to mainstream, overall quality went right with it.

In high school I had a PPI Sedona 50x2 running my highs, about 1/2 way through a 600 mile road trip my bass amp went out. Stopped at a gas station ran my sub to one channel of the Sedona and put all 4 chanels of my highs on the other. Ran it for the rest of the trip like that without a problem. The thing was bulletproof.
