I am doing a custom build on a 60's car and am not doing an audio set up.  I will be installing an OPtima battery in the trunk.  I figured I would run 1/0 cable to engine compartment to tie into starter solenoid as the run will be 15-20'.  Will 1/0 car stereo power cable that is recommended for power amp installs ok to use as battery cable?  I only need to run the positive wire but wasn't sure if the brands out there that make audio cable have the capacity/shielding to be used as a battery cable.

Any recommendations on brands?  Thanks.

Wire is wire, it will be fine as long as it can handle the current requirements.
