am/fm radio does not work. Has good hot wire and ground. Do all am/fm radios have amplifiers and if so where is it located in 2008 f350?

F 350 has no amp option. Strickly radio to speakers with the exeption of a sub amp if it has one...

do you have any trouble shooting ideas as where to find the problem with this radio? hot wire and ground are good.

You keep saying hot wire.  I think that radio requires power on 2 separate wires in order to work.  Does the radio power up but has no sound?

should have two power wires. they're right next to each other. battery terminal above ground terminal, accessory power next to battery.
check fuses 39 and 41 in the SJB i.e. fusebox (right kickpanel)
