hello, i am an electrician and i have a 2001 monte ss with a jvc avx820 7 inch cd player. i am installing a swijack to keep controls of my steering wheel. I have followed the instructions perfectly. the swijack is lighting up and programming just like it is suppost to, the steering wheel buttons make the light on swijack light up, but it still has no effect on the cd player. i hooked the oe remote jack in and the red to power,black to ground, green to a6 on pin, and a7 to power. why is the controls not working. they worked fine on factory unit. thanks and i appreciate any help.

everything seems to work fine until i plug in the oe remote input to the swi jack and the headunit is not effected when i press the steering wheel buttons
