2010 dodge journey

I have a 2010 Dodge Journey SXT and I am wanting to add my subs and amp to factory system. I am using a 4ga wire to a Kicker 750.1 amp. I was wondering if anyone knows of the best way to get the power wire through the firewall without drilling. It is tight under the dash and the grommet where the wires come in from engine compartment is not big enough to accept 4ga wire. I can't see any other holes, plugged or not to use. I've seen posts about running under car body and drilling into cargo area, but I'm leary of drilling into the body! Any tips or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

if you cant find a spot with a rubber grommet to send the wire into the engine compartment then drilling is almost your only option. PLEASE DONT run the wire through the door jamb, ive seen more wires destroyed this way than any other and it looks terrible.

i also dont recommend running the wire under the car but if you dont want to drill then its going to be your only option. try lifting up the carpet in the back cargo area and check to see if you can find a grommet back there that runs through the body. if you find one, pop it out and try to find the hole under the car. if you can find it and it doesnt run very close to any exhaust pipes or moving parts that could catch the wire and break it then you can use that hole.

as far as actually running the wire, you need to be very mindful of things that move or get hot, using split wire loom is also a must. if you can try to run it with a factory wire harness. use as many zip ties as it takes so that the wire doesnt sag but in the event that you need to run it across a junction in the body that might move a little bit all you need to do is leave a little slack, just enough so that the movement of the body cant stretch the wire and maybe break it.
