were is the best place to put the high current fuse in the power wire to my amp. I thought  It should be has close to the amp as possible. is that right. I also have a fused distribution block does that go right after the big fuse or should I just use the distribution.

You must always fuse the main power cable within 18 inches of the battery. As far as your fused distro goes you can put that where ever you need a distribution block.  Also remember when you run your grounds to the amp that they must be no longer than 18 inches from your grounding point.
