Hey Guys,

I have a 2008 Chevy Tahoe w/out NAVI or BOSE.  I will be installing the following w/ the factory HU.

2 JL TW5's
1 JL 500/1.v2

I am looking at the PAC SOEM-T Line Output Converter for the vehicle.  Will this work?  Have you guys heard of/experienced problems before?  Thanks!

hi,
the JL amplifier will accept speaker level inputs, no need to use a LOC.
wiring as such should be in described in the owners manual.

Taking a look at the amp and the owners manual, I don't see the traditional Molex connections for the amp.  I browsed JL's site and they brough me to this, https://www.shopatron.com/products/productdetail/part_number=90435/1451.0   Does that look like something you've seen before?  I got the basic concept down, just don't want to buy something that won't work.  I have also heard that you only want to connect the + connection from the Speaker wire to the Center pin on the RCA and then ground the outside, circle part of the RCA to the chassis.  Is that correct?  I am not a newbie to the install world and have extensive electronic experience.  However, I have never installed a Hi level input like this.  Thanks for the help!

Page 7 of owners manual. Amplifier Input Section, section 2 Input Voltage Range...."To use speaker-level sources, splice the speaker output wires of the source unit or small amplifier
onto a pair of RCA cables or plugs or use the
JL Audio ECS Speaker Wire to RCA adaptor."
The design of the input section of the JL amplifier allows this.
