I'm a retailer at a shop in Iowa and I had a customer come in the other day with the request of purchasing a cd player that is pre-amp only along with a copper chassis. Since I don't usually receive requests like this I had to do a little research. I know that Eclipse made decks like this back in the day but when I searched their website the only one I could find was discontinued. Also I know that Pioneer Premier makes a copper plated chassis deck that allows you to turn off the hi-level on the deck (I think its the prs 800 series?) but this is discontinued too. So I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas and if worst comes to worst I would be ok with a deck that allows you to turn the high level off.

I know that Alpine makes some of these. Their current lineup has probably a few I only took a quick glace the CDE 103BT has that capability. Take a look at these units and see if they would work also.
