I am working on a 93 altima with standard stereo. I am taking out factory unit and putting in 7200 series pioneer unit. I cannot get the dash lights to turn on when lights are on. I did not connect the illumination light from the car or the dimmer wire from the car. The pioneer is in without the two lighting wires.  Does anyone know how to setup the wiring with radio or maybe anything else that would make the dash lights turn on when the car lights are on. I dont know how to wire the stereo to the cars interior system that is only two wires on the stock unit.

i would first check all the fuses to make sure non of them are blown. take a DMM and test each side of every fuse.
