Hi there.  Can anyone recomend a power relay that can turn on my sub amps by detecting a speaker level signal?  I want to add subs to a factory head unit and cannot find a remote power lead.

Thanks!

In that case what you will want to do is find your ignition wire and run the remote wire of the amp off of it. This way, anytime the ignition is turned on, which is the only time your stereo comes on, the amp will be turned on as well

Thanks for the reply.  Yes, I understand this, but that won't give me what I need.

The reason I am looking for a speaker signal relay - if one exists - is in my Lincoln LS, the radio plays for 10 minutes after the car is turned off, even if the key is removed.  The timer is inside the head unit, so the only way to keep the subs going during that time is to detect a signal on one of the main speakers.

Is this possible with a commercial unit, or do I have to build something?  Thanks!
