I have an MTX 1501D amplifier that does not work. The amp has been used very little, and worked fine for me while I had it. I sold the amp to a friend, and he may have damaged it trying to install it and gave it back.
I opened the case and did not find any discolored or burnt components. Are there problems that usually occur with these amps, or any ideas on what to check? I am good with electronics but I do not have an oscilloscope. Any diagrams, guides, or advice would be very much appreciated.

Did YOU connect it back into a known working system to verify that it really does not work?

I do not know if they still do this, but the older MTX amplifiers would produce absolutely no sound if you turn the gains all the way down. You may want to check that as well.

------------- If your cousin is such a good installer, and he will install anything for a 6 pack; why are you talking to me?
