I have a xm portable unit that runs off the 12v power output in my 1995 Chevy Pickup. Since the fm modulator causes static, I have it running into an aux. input. When it is plugged into the 12v power output I get a feedback noise, but if I have it running off of its own battery I don't get the feedback noise but the battery as you can guess doesn't last all that long. Is there anyway to eliminate the feedback?
