does the ford expedition have a factory mute wire coming off the radio to use with a hands free kit so when the phone rings, it will mute the factory radio, and display a message on the radio????

i have a customer who says his friend has the same setup in his expedition with an aftermarket nokia handsfree kit, so basically i just need to know if i can find this wire in the factory radio harness or what??

Check here and see if it's the same factory headunit. If it is, then I believe you want the wire comming from Connector J3-Pin10 (it's labeled "PTA(Phone)" on the diagram) on the back of the headunit. Sorry I couldn't find the color, but you should be able to match it with the location on the diagram.
