I have never heard of an "amp" break in period. But there is a such thing as a sub break in period.

There is a proceedure known as "forming" a capacitor. This usually done on very high end home audio mostly. It involves slowly bringing up the power supply volages with a variable AC source over time (maybe 24hrs or so). But, in a car amp the 12v power is stepped up in the amps power supply to say + - 30v or so. When a car amp's power supply turns on, it's full on. So, there's really no way to slowly bring the power supply up on a car amp. Just power it up and enjoy!
