im new here  so first of all hello to everyone...

now my delima is, I have 1 12" Lanzar sub rated at 1600 rms, I know its a cheap sub but its what I have to work with for right now, now I have 3 amps to choose from, the first one is a 900 watt old school rockford punch 900 1 channel , the second is another old school punch 1500 2 channell  and the 3rd choice is an audiobahn a2601x 2 channel

wich amp would work the best and how should I wire the subs 2 4 ohm ect ??

also would it sound better if I ran 2 12" subs instead of 1 sub?

this kind of confuses me cause back in the day I would use cheap majestic 500  watt amps and they would pound the hell out of a set of 15's and I thought that the amps that I have now were supposed to be a better amp or is it just the subwoofer that im using and is my box to big,  my box is 2.2 cubic ft bit i have it stuffed with pillow stuffin  cause it sounded awfull without it

The box is definitely too big. The average 12" sub uses about 1.25 cubic feet of airspace in a sealed box. What is the impedance of your sub and is it single or dual voice coil? That's definitely the biggest factor when you choose the amp.

the sub is a dual voice coil and I stuffed the box with fiberglass insulation to take up some of the space in the box

since you didnt exactly answer my question I'm guessing its a dual 4ohm sub. with what you have your best bet would be to use the punch 900. parallel the 2 coils together for a 2ohm load. i dont believe the other 2 amps are 2ohm stable
