Need a little help here guys. According to Crutchfield there are very few speakers that will fit. My plan is for 6 3/4" components in the front doors and 6 3/4' coaxials in the rear doors. The speakers I'm looking at are Infinity Reference or Kappa, Polk dB, and Alpine Type S. Anyone have experience installing these in a Grand Cherokee or have any other suggestions? I appreciate any input you have.

Im not a fan of the Infinity at all. Also they make a 6.75 to 6.5 adapter To put almost what ever you want in. Alot of thoes jeeps have 6x9 in the front, most of the factory infinity systems do, you may want to double check. (the make a 6x9 adapter, or you can make something) Also check into the Boston comps (sc or sr series) Also If you want some amazing sound look at some Focal stuff, Crutchfield has them. In my oppinion they are the best sounding speakers I know of but they can be very expensive.

Metra makes a 6x9 to 6.5 adapter plate for the front speaker locations. 82-6901 is the part number.

I know MTX makes a 6x8 component set that would just drop in.

I am currently running their 6.5 comps up front and 6.5 coax in the rear doors in my 2001 Grand Cherokee.
