I am attempting to install a variable resistor on my Internal Air Temperature sensor. I bought the manual, but it doesn't have a wiring diagram for this. On this model, the IAT is part of the MAF wiring harness.
The instructions say that the sensor prongs should have a resistance of 2-3k ohms and the wires should have a charge of 12V. The two tan wires have the right resistance, but not the voltage. A couple of the wire combinations have 12V, but not the resistance.
I am told that 2007-2011 wiring on the silverado/sierra is the same.
Please help!

Are you reading voltage across the resistor at the sensor? If so, try grounding the black meter lead, check voltage on each of the tan wires. Chances are, one of the tan wires will read 12 volts.

I tried... I only get 12V off of the pink wire, but the receptacle to it doesn't get the right resistance with any of the other connector receivers.

I get 5V off of one of the tan wires.
