I'm attempting to install a new stereo into my wife's 96 Caravan.

The problem I've run into is this...

I've wired up the stereo, it gets power, turns on/off with ignition, etc, etc...

BUT...  when trying to connect the speakers, NOTHING HAPPENS!!! and when I say nothing, I mean nothing at all comes out of the speakers no matter how I try connecting the wires.

am I going to need to re-wire all the speakers completely from scratch? or is there some kind of trick to this that I haven't caught on to yet?

did you use a harness or you cut the wire?

You probably did not power the amp turn on wire of the Dodge. It is the LIGHT GREEN wire on the BLACK plug. This wire requires 12 volts switched from the stereo ( amp turn on lead )

OK, that would probably be it...

If there was a factory amp.  but since there isn't, the only green wire is the (+) pos. for the front left speaker.  Anyone else have an idea that may help?
