hello there, i am sound deadening my jeep cherokee with 100 square feet of fat mat. my question is, what is the easiest way to get rid of the factory adhesives on the doors that hold that plastic cover on the door frame? i removed it all off of one door using some purple power, and a whole lot of rubbing. so is there any easier way to do this?

Try mineral spirits, or denatured alcohol. The mineral spirits may work best for disolving the glue but will leave a slimey residue behind.

Thanks, and also to apply deadener, how clean does the metal have to be? Like its real clean just the towel left behind some tiny little pieces and streaks

If you dont think paint would stick to it, it probably isn't clean enough. Use a tack cloth to get rid of debris left behind.
