I have an '05 Maxima with the Bose system. I can find the 5th gen Bose amp plug diagram but not the 6th gen. I am trying to wire tap the rear speakers or the subs before they enter the Bose amp as well as the remote wire and i just need to know which wire is what color.  Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Go to your local stereo shop and see if they will let you look at the wiring harness for your car.   Bring a digital camera or pencil and paper so you can draw and label the wire locations of their harness.

Unfortunatly the response that I've had at the 3 different stereo shops I've been to they tell me they can't tell me because it's a liability.  Just to make sure I understand you, are you saying look at a wiring harness that I would use to install an aftermarket head unit?  If so could'nt I find a pic much like the one you've posted?  If I was able to find that it still doesn't tell me which color wire goes to what on the already "pre-outed" lines running to the bose amp that is already in the trunk.. I've read some other forums that suggest that these wires can be tapped into for rear speaker signal that would be more than sufficiant for my needs.

If there is a factory sub, the rear speakers are crossed over and do not play lower bass notes.

i am an idiot is right, if you have a factory sub and you are trying to get a signal to an aftermarket sub amp then you need to tap the factory subwoofer
