I am wanting to get ideas regarding the installation of a new head unit and subs to the existing Infinity system in my 1999 Chrysler 300M. I have never done this type of installation before so I appreciate any advice anyone can give. Also if anyone has any info on the specs of the factory system, I would like to have that information as well. I am trying to save some money with this install, so I am trying to limit it to a new head and subs.

Your going to need an amp for the sub as well for the installation. The best thing to do is use a LOC ( lin eout converter ) that converts speaker signal to a set of RCA's taht the amp can use. OR get an amp that has high level inputs and then you can do away with the LOC. You are going to loose the steeering wheel controls of the OEM deck when you change out the stereo and also you will require a installation kit for the new HU unless you are going for a 1.5 DIN unit.
