OK so last ditch effort to get this fixed: I have a avic930bt HU that i installed and it worked fine. I then installed a rockford fosgate 4 channel amp to run the power series rockford 6x8's in the door's.

The problem is that when I turn the volume up the HU reboots, it does retain memory.

I checked the RCA outs to the amp for shorts by swapping to a new pair and it does the same thing. i can have the HU's volume turned up and even one of the left or right RCA's plugged into the amp but the second i plug the other side in (if the HU is turned up) it will reboot. so to use my system i have to listen to it at way below preferred volume levels. I've come to know what volume level to keep it under but sometimes i will turn it up louder and i swear it seams to reboot when the music has the most going on in the song (power draw maybe?)

ALSO, I DO HAVE BAD ALT WHINE so maybe a bad ground(s)?

it worked fine before amps were installed so i don't really think its the HU but let me know what you think.

thanks in advance.
